you forgot to mention how you literally can see the pixels with naked eyes on the quest 3. will be a total waste to watch a mega blockbuster movie on the quest 3, for shows is acceptable but definitely not for movies. for this reason I have returned them

Just got my Jelly Star two days ago, then saw this announcement. Safe to say I still made the right choice! I want a small phone not just "smaller". Loving my Star so far, and will probably grab this in a few years when it's my Star's time to go.

You have much more options, in fact: - Qin 3 Ultra. This one is just a bit bigger than iPhone 5S and as powerful as Jelly Star. However, it is still thin (just 1 mm thicker than 5S) and it's battery life is good. The problem there is software, you will need to check forums in order not to break phone during initial setup and get Google Play working there. - Balmuda Phone. A beatuful phone by a japanese company, which is wider, but not longer than iPhone 5S. It has great hardware (better than Jelly Star) and is very comfortable in hand. It was launched in 2021 as a "premium" device, but now has a fair price. - Light Phone III. This one is now in pre-order and will only be shipped next year, so not so many is known yet. But it is very stylish and powerful, and battery life should not be a problem there. The problems are price (it is very expensive) and very strange software. You need jailbreak just to get WhatsApp. - Qin K23s. It will be released soon with a 3.5" 16:9 display, the exactly same as in iPhone 4. It also gets really weird design and probably the same software issues as Qin 3 Ultra. The performance is expected to be worse than Jelly Star's but better than Palm's. - Soyes phones. They probably are as bad as Palm Phone in terms of hardware and as bad as Unihertz in terms of build, but they are dirt-cheap (less than $50 for most of the models), so they may be an option. - A flip Android phone, maybe? Devices like Motorola Razr 40 Ultra (Razr+ in the US) have usable external displays, and generally similar to iPhone 5S in size when folded (but rectangular). You may open them only to watch UA-cam or do some other not-on-the-go staff.

Don't like the increase in size. I'll stick to Jelly Max for now. Disappointed that your making the phone bigger.😢

That image seems to be merely illustrative, and not necessarily to scale, but an approximation. From that, i'm willing to bet the screen size is 5 inches, in what looks to be the golden ratio of 18:9, which with minimal bezels, if i postulate a correlation to the screen size, its about 3mm on the sides, maybe 4mm up top, and what looks to be 5mm in the chin. With that, my take on the size would be an approximate 12.5cm in height, and 63mm in width.

Have you tried the unihertz atom? Tiny and waterproof but older.

Where do I find the UA-cam video with the awkward sounding puppets?

I've been using the Xiaomi Qin F21 Pro, which has a numpad and a very small touch screen. It's been a joy to use swype with my thumb to text and if i'm feeling like it, I switch to texting t9 style with the buttons. It runs Android 11 and you may really enjoy reviewing it!

Great review. I did the same thing with my X3. Dropping it. Not the first time. Another 110usd to fix huhu. For an 'action cam' it is fragile. Good they have made a removable lens protector for the X4. The sticky lens guard was a joke. Hard to line up which made the stitching bad. Not sure if I want to by the X4. It takes a lot to process the clips.

Nice video! I only have the 2 so I guess I have to put up with poor tracking. Its pretty easy to remove the tripod mount if you leave the tripod attached.

I want a VR headset, buti don't know which one to choose. I mostly play PC games but they are also playableon VR and i've seen some really cool VR games like bonelabs, which one should i save up for?

I have both phones and I totally agree with everything you said. I use a 1st gen iPhone SE jailbroken as my daily driver. I love my palm as a spare but I did use it as a daily for 6 months. I wish someone would make another high quality small phone with a 3.5 to 4in. display with metal and glass. I also have a Satrend S11. Nice build quality like the Palm but runs Android 7.

The battery life on the Palm had me abandoning it after only 3 months. The only way to get decent battery life is to use "Palm mode," disabling all radios. With all of the radios off, it's an all-day device. Of course, at that point, disconnected from everything, is it even a phone? I needed to be reachable, and keeping the Palm powered up and online meant such a load from charging and discharging the undersized battery that it was perpetually warm to the touch. I agree it's a beautiful object though.

I've had mine for a few weeks now and I do love it over all. But there's loads of changes I'd like to see. Yes a good 4K camera goes without saying but also 60fps. Add a microSD card slot. Roll the gimbal back to protect the lens. Don't gamify the app, give us all the features straight away. Give us an option to change the amount of time it hovers for when zoomed out; 10s, 15, 20s etc. Enable it to track us when doing an orbit or a birds eye. Give us a volume control for that voice! And yes it is too expensive. Bring that price down...

I got mine when it came out and backed it for less money. So I was lucky. And yes I agree, I hope for better video and the chance to set a "flat" profile which is not so over sharpened. GPS fine, but not a must for me and how I use it :) even the Insta Go 3s can do now 4k.. so come on :)

Ah computers! Able to benefit mankind in so many ways, but artistically? Just another avenue for shysters to peddle their wares. 😫
